Project Manager ? Job Description 6+ month contract Primary Job Responsibilities Project manager chartered with ensuring the planning and delivery success of an exciting portfolio of projects supporting PayPal?s (Global Financial Services) Credit Business. The project manager will bring together members of Product Management, Engineering, Content, QA, Web Development, Business Operations, and Site Operations to help define, plan, and execute a series of projects with direct and immediate impact on the cost, quality, and efficiency of Global Payments projects. Responsibilities will include overseeing the execution of these initiatives, while providing high-quality status, reporting and communication of these activities. Job Requirements The right candidate will exhibit strength in program/project management functions (planning, allocation, and scheduling; directing activities; balancing time, cost, and scope; tracking progress; controlling risk; change management) and a successful track record of delivering multiple mission- and time-critical software projects. The employee must also have sufficient technical background to validate integrity of development project plans and deliverables. The employee must complement his or her functional expertise with a sense of urgency and accountability and a desire to get things done. Moreover, the right candidate will also show talent and interest in continuously adapting and improving project management processes, keeping up-to-date in a continuously changing environment, communicating and negotiating at all levels of business and technology organizations, and driving activities and issues to resolution. The employee is also expected to contribute actively to a developing body of project management best practices and ?operational excellence? driven initiatives. Meticulous attention to detail is also crucial. In interviews, the candidate must be prepared to prove his or her qualifications through specific examples of program/project management insights and evidence of personal impact on past projects.
